Bob’s background is as a controller for a number of small to large companies over the past 25 years, in both the service and manufacturing sectors. He has been involved with various mergers and acquisitions throughout his career, which included his oversight of Orion Power Midwest’s $1.7 billion acquisition of
Duquesne Lights power Plants in April 2000. Bob is the Executive Director of
United Business Brokers of America, Inc. where he specializes in Business
Valuations and Business Brokering of Dental Practices and Dental Labs. He
earned an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Bob is also an accredited business appraiser (AIBA) by the Institute of Business Appraisers.

Jon has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1986 and has 20 years of experience (Including “Big 4” experience) providing consulting, audit, and tax, for small, medium and large companies, nonprofits and governmental organizations. Services Jon provided for clients include Dental Practice Consulting, External and Internal Audit, Tax Planning & Compliance, Risk Management, Forensic Accounting, Business Process Improvement, Profitability Enhancement, Due Diligence and Wealth Management. Jon is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has a master’s degree in taxation.
Chuck W. Mondavé
Founder and Owner of Versant Business Team

Mr. Mondavé has a broad background in real estate, finance, engineering and
business development. He completed his MBA at Santa Clara University focusing on business finance and marketing where he earned the Belotti Award for best team project in analyzing corporate failure. Mr. Mondavé worked in the
semiconductor and technology field prior to using to using his business
development skills in the areas of investment, insurance and real estate. He
participated in two IPOs earlier in his career and helped other businesses grow
from a start-up phase. He specializes in business valuations, business brokering and financing of dental businesses at Versant Business Team.
Rich Hooper
Mid-West Director
Rich has over 30 years of business experience including executive-level manufacturing leadership, project management, business development and brokered sales. This experience, coupled with degrees in both chemistry and economics from the University of Pittsburgh, uniquely equip Rich to grasp both technical and business challenges of a broad range of enterprises. Rich is the Director of the Mid-West region and currently focuses his efforts in Ohio and Michigan and Indiana.
William A. Larrenaga, CPA
Director, New England Region
Senior finance executive and former Partner of a Big Four CPA Firm where Bill was responsible for business development in the New England and Mid Atlantic regions. Bill has extensive experience working with Audit Committees of Board of Directors and senior management teams. Industry experience includes high tech, manufacturing and retail and distribution. Board experience includes serving on the board of global professional services organizations and several non-profit organizations. Bill brings this wealth of experience to UBBA as our New England Director.
Janet Frost
Dental Business Specialist, Western New York Region
Janet has 15 years experience as an RN with a specialty in intensive care at one of the largest teaching hospitals in the city of Pittsburgh, PA. Janet also has 5 years experience as a Dental Practice Manager for a medium size general and cosmetic practice also in the Pittsburgh area. She is familiar with all aspects of managing a dental practice, including billing and insurance issues, scheduling, general ledger, computer software, staff management, payroll and cash management. She is experienced with practice transitions as she transitioned her husbands Pittsburgh practice enabling him to focus on his new practice in upstate New York.
